Kairos Athletics employs traditional and what some may view as non-traditional exercise techniques. Whatever Kairos Athletics employs to enhance an aspect of athleticism, it is always employed with the intention to most effectively and efficiently prepare the athlete for his or her competition or performance.
Pendulums basically require the athlete to execute a clean (like what is done in olympic weightlifting), a push press, the tree is pushed over, and then jog and repeat. This is a great strength endurance exercise for all kinds of athletes. In the video above, we are executing the exercise on soft sand to strengthen our joints and for a balance challenge. The result of stronger joints is obvious. Balance challenges enhance body awareness.
